Hi, I’m logan
I fell in love with events as a banquet server at a country club in college. It was the first time I saw the amount of work that went into creating a few memorable hours for the guests. Over the years, I’ve grown to love the planning process and managing the details that go into bringing an event to life.
After graduating with a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Virginia, I moved to Shanghai to utilize my Mandarin language skills and explore the international sports market. I started working in social media marketing but quickly realized that I enjoyed live events and working with people the most. In October 2016, I founded Logan Strategy Group to help clients reduce stress around their event production in China, the US, and around the world. In 2019, I moved to Seattle, WA and continue to work events in the US and abroad.
Over the last nine years, I’ve worked with companies of all sizes, including sports teams, brands, universities, non-profits, and couples. I love helping clients create more efficient event planning processes, anticipate challenges during their event, and optimize their budget. My role varies with each project. I’ve served as a sports presentation producer for men’s and women’s volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, produced a hybrid non-profit gala that raised over $1,000,000, and organized the production for a 3,000 person sales conference. led a non-profit’s annual gala, assisted with a VIP reception, stage-managed a college basketball tournament. Other roles include:
Staged managed a team of six stage managers for the Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball tournaments in Las Vegas
Managed 110+ speakers for five shows for the DNC Caucus meetings
Produced a virtual escape room experience
Transitioned a local political organization’s fundraiser from in-person to online
Led the production team for a 17-day virtual national sales conference for a corporate client for over 1,900 people
Managed the hybrid production for a non-profit looking to move their gala back to in-person but retain the virtual audience
Produced the general sessions for a 3-day, 3,000-person sales kick-off conference
Outside of work, I love exploring new corners of Seattle, trying new sports, and cheering on my favorite sports team. As a former college hammer and javelin thrower, I’m always looking for a new sports challenge. After training to try out for the US Bobsled team for two years and completing driver’s school in Park City in January 2020, I’m now focused on kickball and snowboarding. You’ll often find me playing kickball with my friends in Seattle or building my beginner snowboarding skills.
With over 175 events under my belt, I love leading clients through their event planning process, whether it’s bringing their onstage dreams to life, taking transportation reservations, creating guest movement plans, or executing the day-of rundown.
